A practical journey to explore

A CLOSER LOOK

Begin with the teaching session, not a disconnected spreadsheet.

Attendance is reliable when the session, teacher and learners agree. VidyOmni derives eligible class sessions from the published timetable and preserves the active roster when a register opens, so later changes do not silently rewrite the original context.

Assigned teaching sessions

Show attendance candidates to the authorized employee teaching the published occurrence. Keep attendance authority tied to the actual assignment.

A preserved class roster

Freeze the roster at session opening and capture entries against that register. Retry-safe operations help avoid duplicate capture.

Supported capture methods

Use roster entry and the supported signed QR or student ID-card scan workflows. Confirm the chosen device and classroom process during setup.

Leave and corrections with review

Use dedicated requests, reasons and independent decisions for supported changes. Approved leave can reconcile with an open attendance register.

HOW IT WORKS

A register that can be understood after the class ends.

Make the session, capture and exception handling part of one record.

  2. 02

    Establish the roster

Open the register and confirm the learners included in the preserved session roster.

  3. 03

    Capture participation

Record attendance using the agreed roster or supported scan method.

  4. 04

    Review exceptions

Submit and decide a leave or correction request with the appropriate reason and record version.

IN PRACTICE · 01

Keep exceptions visible and accountable.

An absence, an approved leave and a correction are different operational events.

For teachers

Start from assigned class occurrences and a known learner list. Capture attendance within the scope of the teaching session.

For reviewers

Examine a request, its reason and the affected entry before deciding. The requester cannot independently approve their own governed correction.

For institution setup

Confirm the timetable, active enrollments, teacher assignments and leave types before rollout. Test a genuine absence, an approved leave and a correction as separate examples.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few details
worth getting right.

Questions about your institution’s exact setup? Prepare a focused request.

Find the right contact route
Can any staff member mark any class?

Assigned class attendance uses exact timetable and employee authority. The expected teacher assignment, published occurrence and user permissions must be in place before the session is available.

Does approved leave change every historical register automatically?

The implemented reconciliation covers supported open-register cases. Automatic correction of locked historical registers is not promised; review the applicable correction workflow and register state.

Is offline capture or biometric-device integration included?

A complete signed offline synchronization or biometric-device integration is not claimed. Validate connectivity, devices and the supported capture workflow for your institution before deployment.
